  • Art groups lose home in Burnsville
  • Budget cuts have closed Burnsville's well-known Lake Alimagnet Center for the Arts in Alimagnet Park. Artists of every discipline used the city-owned building for more than two decades, but must now find somewhere else in the south metro to have board meetings, hold classes or rehearsals and store supplies. One tenant, the Burnsville Visual Arts Society, had a garage sale June 24 and 25 to sell supplies it can't store there anymore. Carolyn Carlson formerly of Apple Valley who has been with the Arts Society since its inception was at the sale June 24 and gives us a tour of the building.
