The Southdale YMCA is offering floor hockey, biddy basketball and indoor soccer programs for ages 4-10.
Those programs are offered Saturdays, Oct. 25 through Dec. 13. Floor hockey competition will be conducted in Edina and Bloomington.
Biddy basketball will be offered at schools in Eden Prairie, Edina and Bloomington. Indoor soccer is at the Southdale YMCA, Forest Hills Elementary School in Eden Prairie and Sheridan Hills Elementary School in Richfield.
Fees are $49 for YMCA members and $66 for program participants. Registration deadline is Saturday, Oct. 4.

Snowboard registration
G Team Snowboarding, a non-profit organization, is accepting applications from riders of all abilities in grades K-12. Open enrollment will continue through Oct. 15.
On-snow training is at Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area in Bloomington during November.
Information night will be 4 to 7 Thursday, Oct. 2, at Hyland Ski Area.

Tickets for the 2009 PGA Championship can be purchased by calling 1-800-PGA-GOLF or online at

The 2009 PGA Championship will be Aug. 10-16 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska.
Two different ticket packages are available, including Wanamaker ticket packages ($425 each) and season ticket packages ($300 each).
When accompanied by a ticketed adult, juniors (under 18 years of age) can attend for $15 per ticket per day during practice rounds Monday through Wednesday and $25 per ticket during play Thursday through Sunday of Championship week.
Senior volleyball league
The Born Again Jocks Volleyball League welcomes all men 55 years of age and over to join its program.
Volleyball league games are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Jefferson High School Activity Center, 102nd Street and France Avenue South in Bloomington. The season starts Oct. 6.
Warm-up drills begin at 8:45 a.m. followed by games at 9 a.m. Twin Cities metro area players of all abilities are encouraged to join the league.

Meyer aids St. Scholastica
Nic Meyer of Bloomington is playing on the first-ever football team at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
Meyer is the son of Ken and Patty Meyer and a graduate of the Academy of Holy Angles in Richfield.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder is a defensive back for St. Scholastica. Meyer plans to major in marketing and management.
