Edina High School boys golf coach Phil Finanger is offering a swing-technique clinic beginning the first week of December at the Braemar Golf Dome.

The clinic is open to boys and girls, ages 9-15.

1,000-yard rusher

Senior running back Nate Hansen of the Benilde-St. Margaret's High football team rushed for 1,034 yard in 10 games this season.

The Red Knights' leading ball carrier added 38 yards in pass receptions, as his team finished 6-4 overall and 5-3 in the North Suburban Conference.

Hansen had his best game Sept. 26, when he rushed fro 240 yards in a 57-28 victory over St. Louis Park.

Edina gold medalist

Frank Johnson of Edina won the gold medal in 1,500-meter race walking at the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah.

The World Senior Games consist of 25 different sports for athletes 50 and older. More than 9,500 athletes participated this year. Johnson is 70 years old.
