St. Anthony-New Brighton School District officials plan to wrap up their search for a new high school principal by the beginning of next month.
District 282 School Board members accepted Principal Tom Keith's retirement announcement in October. Keith was hired in winter 1993 and will retire next June.
The district posted a survey for about six weeks on its Web site that asked community members for feedback on the high school's greatest strengths, the three most significant challenges facing the high school and the five most important attributes the next principal should have.
The St. Anthony Village High School principal opening was posted on the district's Web site until Jan. 23, which resulted in 60 applicants.
