Effective today, the left through lanes of Bottineau Boulevard-County Road 81 will be closed between 40th Avenue and Highway 100 in Robbinsdale, to allow the replacement of brick pavers within the median area and adjoining sidewalk areas. The brick pavers are being replaced due to manufacturer's defects. Paver replacement is expected to extend for the next five weeks, or until inclement weather prohibits the work.

The Anoka-Hennepin School Board meets at 7 p.m. today in Coon Rapids. The board could decide on its new middle school schedule and changes to specialty schools in the wake of school closings decided last month.

The St. Louis Park School Board has a busy night ahead of it. A special session about the district's facilities usage is set for 5 p.m. tonight at St. Louis Park Senior High School. Consultants are working to determine whether the district could save money though potentially closing a school or reconfiguring grades. A second study session on the district's strategic plan will follow with a regular meeting beginning at 7 p.m. A teacher's alternative compensation plan is up for review, among a number of other items on the agenda.
