County schedules H1N1 vaccine clinics in Hopkins, New Hope
Hennepin County announced it will hold two H1N1 vaccine clinics Wednesday, Nov. 18, and Friday, Nov. 20, for children ages 6 months to 9 years old.
The Nov. 18 clinic will run from 3:15 to 8:30 p.m. at Hopkins High School, 2400 Lindbergh Drive, Minnetonka.
The Nov. 20 clinic is scheduled from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. at New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Ave. N., New Hope.
Families should call their health care provider first to learn if they can receive vaccine there. If not, they may come to one of the county's vaccine clinics. Both shots and the nasal spray will be offered, but supplies are limited.
Children in this age group will need a second dose of the vaccine about four weeks after their initial vaccination.
Vaccines will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. A parent or guardian must accompany the child and sign a consent form, which can be downloaded at www.hennepin.us/h1n1.
The shots are free, but families with insurance are asked to bring their insurance card so their insurance plan can be billed.
